The Assessment

Health History: The Health History and Medical Symptoms Questionaire helps us to learn about you and perhaps guide us to additional testing if needed.  Much is learned from a good health history and should be the cornerstone of every health professional's assessment. 

BioImpedence Analysis: An effective BIA device is an absolute measuring stick in a clinical environment. In addition to the most accurate body fat analysis, we can quantify your total body water, fluid distribution, and lean mass. Most importantly, the test is highly reproducable, non-invasive and takes less than 1 mintue to administer.

Cost: Completely depends on the individual and the significance of the program. You can be sure we will use strategies to get you where you want to be as fast as possible, often much faster than you might think. The most expensive program is the one that doesn't work.

Laboratory: Comprehensive laboratory testing is often required to attain the needed information to accomplish your goals.  Most of todays symptoms and diseases have one or more underlying metabolic challenges (i.e. blood sugar, thryoid, toxicity, deficiency) and must be addressed for long term health and wellness. All of our lab work is overlooked by a licensed physician. 

 - Blood Chemistry and Urinalysis: Blood chemistry analysis are typically used to identify or rule out pathology.  Our blood/urine chemistry panel includes: chemistry, CBC and Differential, thryoid panel, hepatic and renal function, lipid panel, metabolic panel, electrolytes, and urinalysis.  This type of testing can help us identify blood sugar abnormalities, anemias, and cardiovascular risk.  We can add on CRP, HgA1C, Fibrinogen, Ferritin, Homocysteine, Apolipoprotein Assessment, and Hormones.  This test is a requires a blood draw and urine sample and is performed at the nearest LabCorp laboratory.

 - Organic Acid Testing: Organic acid metabolites have been recognized for decades as good indicators of metabolic challenges.  Organic acid testing reveals: microbial (yeast, fungus, bacteria) overgrowth, nutrient deficiencies, toxin exposure, fatty acid and amino acid abnormalities, energy production challenges, brain chemistry imbalances, and inborn errors (PKU, Maple Syrup Urine Disease) of metabolism.  This test is ideal for anyone who has a history of brain chemistry challenges (ADHD, Depression, Autism) and/or mitochondrial syndromes (fibromyalgia, CFS). This test is a urine analysis and is done at home with a kit and shipping instructions.

 - Stool Analysis: The Rosmed stool analysis is a highly accurate assessment of digestive health.  This analysis is important for anyone with chronic symptoms of any kind, but especially digestive symptoms.  This test analyzes 30+ parameters including: fungal/yeast/bacterial overgrowth, multiple bacterial/ecological imbalances & parasites, pH & pancreatic enzymes function, fat, protein, & carb digestion, dyspepsia, putrefaction, mal-absorption, bile & immune antibody production, and inflammation markers. Add ons are available for: H. pylori; anti-gliadin Ab (gluten sensitivity); Salmonella & 3 other toxic organisms; C. Difficile; hemo E.coli & its toxin.  This test is a stool sample analysis and is done at home with a kit and shipping instructions.

 - Food Sensitivity Testing: The ALCAT test is a way to measure food intolerances. While all people have them, few are aware.
